Job Summary

Dominion is currently seeking a Supervisor-Nuclear Engineering in the Engineering organization at Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT.

This position will report to the Manager Design Engineering. The assigned area of responsibility will be Rapid Response Engineering, responsible for leading the rapid response group, responsible for the Design and Implementation of high quality Nuclear Engineering Changes at Millstone Power Station.

The successful candidate may be required to qualify for and be a member of the Emergency Response Organization. In addition to leadership of the selected work group, the successful candidate will perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Physical Sciences (preferred) with 7+ years of practical engineering experience or;

  • 10+ years of practical engineering experience including an RO, SRO, or STA license or equivalent military certification

  • Minimum of 2 years nuclear power plant experience required

Lead personnel to safely and efficiently execute work.Organize resources to achieve station goals.Demonstrate high level of ownership for their responsibilities, persists through adversity, and follows through with commitments.Acts with bias for action to challenge and correct behaviors, and promote high standards of performance.Demonstrate high integrity, safety, professionalism, and appropriate behavior driven results.Proactively communicates information and decisions to personnel and station leaders in a manner that is honest, direct, and meaningful.Demonstrates and promotes a clear bias for action to resolve issues while exhibiting sound judgment and conservative decision making.Maintains appropriate oversight of his/her personnel and team members and acts promptly to provide direction when necessary.Demonstrated ability to understand a wide variety of topics, and be sufficiently intrusive to ensure all work items under their area of responsibility are produced with the highest of quality including technical accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

2years in a supervisory or other leadership role, previous military junior officer experience, Previous experience with nuclear power plant systems (commercial or military), or previous or current SRO license or certification, or STA certification.

Experience with Operability determinations, temporary modifications, calculations engineering technical evaluations and troubleshooting andExperience with design change processes and 10CFR50.59,

Education Requirements
